This is a very good quality all around beginners metal detector that will find Gold!
The Ace 250 is not a pure play gold detector but a great all around detector for someone to start with. This is not department store junk. It is a high quality, hobby class metal detector that WILL find Gold, Silver, coins and Jewelry at a decent price!

Garrett b basically took a lot of the features of some of their much more expensive detectors in put it in the ACE series of metal detectors – the 150,250 and 350. They are well made, easy to use and have good depth capabilities and consistency not found in other entry level detectors.
