The Garrett ACE 150 Metal Detector is a HIGH quality entry level metal detector that is WELL above the department store class of metal detectors that you find now adays at your local department store. It is a part of Industry Leader Garretts new line of ACE Detectors.

I have used the ACE 250 and ACE 350 and can attest to the quality of the ACE detector line and I can attest to the fact that the ACE line and the new Ace 150 is ahead of the competition. I think the ACE 150 is a GREAT value for its money and ahead of its competition when it comes to any detector in its price range.

This Metal Detector IS easy to use (Please do read the instructions) and it will find buried treasure including coins, metral jewelry, Gold, Silver and mtetal relics like old buttions, tokens, belt buckels, guns, parts of old farm equipment, horse shoes, old metal toyse, pins, rings, etc!!

Here are my favorite features of the Garrett Ace 150 Metal Detector:

1)  The Garrett Ace 150 Metal Detector is easy to use. You can turn it on and g. No need to learn a 45 page manual or fiddle with it every 5 minutes.

2) The Garrett Ace 150 Metal Detector gives you three automated modes. With this feature you can custom tune the detector worth just the touch of the button. Just press the button to select from:

• All Metal Mode
• Coin Mode
• Jewelry mode

3) The Garrett Ace 150 Metal Detector  has a digital screen that is easy and gives you all the info you need at a glance,> this is far better then most detectors (or all detectors) in this class. Having the target ID indicator is usually reserved for more expensive detectors. The Control Panel Screen on the ACE 150 is by far the easiest to read and understand with the most information of any beginners class metal detector.

On the Ace 150 Screen you get the following information:

• Target depth – The Garrett Ace 150 Metal Detector tells you how far down the object its detected is
• Target ID – The Garrett Ace 150 Metal Detector Tells you if its most likely Gold, Coins, Rings, silver, iron, etc!
• Sensitivity – the sensitivity is an adjustment that you can change. More sensitivity will pick up deeper or smaller treasure but usually will result in more trash or harder to decipher signals. But if you want to go deep, especially in all metal mode, then this adjustment is really nice to have.
• The Search Mode – what mode is it set to – coins, jewelry or all metal
• A Low Battery Indicator

4) The Garrett Ace 150 Metal Detector features a professional quality search coil – The search coil (the round or oblong loop at the end of the detector that you sweep over the ground) has a lot to do with how deep a metal detector will go and how good of a job it will do in detecting buried metal. The coil included with the Garrett Ace 150 Metal Detector is the newest addition of the Performance coils series by Garrett, the 6.5×9" ACE coil> The same as is found on the more expensive ACE 250 and ACE 350. So this is a great deal to get such a good coil on a $175 metal detector!
